PEOPLE DYNAMICS
Through both my clinical practice and 25 year of working in various roles in schools, universities, and hospital
settings I have developed a strong interest in the dynamics of the working place in general and, particularly,
the dynamics of women and men. There is something special about bringing psychology to problems inherent in the
workplace and between genders.
The bottom line is that men and women are different in just about every way we can imagine. Efforts to make us
too alike are doomed to fail. We are better off to over estimate our differences than to underestimate them,
and then be alert to those differences and go from there. Men and women can be successful life partners and
work partners but only through appreciating and working with the uniqueness we each bring. "Men and Women 101."

Combining psychology and the world of work can assist in enhancing organizational productivity. Conflicts
occur - like in any intense relationship - but much can be done to get things back on track. Misunderstandings
between staff members, "personality conflicts" can be dynamic opportunities for positive, constructive change.
'Hot' situations can often be turned into that staff vitality we look for. Sometimes a person's humor
is misunderstood or middle management is not viewed as fair. One size, however, does not fit all and
the issues need to be dealt with in a situation-specific manner.
