PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT
We generally think about performance enhancement as applied only to the field of athletics and fitness but it can be applied equally well to other performance or artistic endeavors as well as to our work life.
Being the best you can be. Digging deep and seeing what’s there. Tapping all that is vital to accomplishment. Performance enhancement (self-actualization) has several noteworthy psychological components:
-
Motivational barriers: These need to be knocked down and subdued. Life can get in the way of our goals. Understanding and clearing out the negative and the clutter can help us to focus on our achievement goals.
-
Our minds: The ultimate power source. For the most part, the workings of the mind remain a continuing mystery. The mind need not be scary but it is usually unfamiliar. Getting to know how and what you think can be a powerful way to enhance performance.
-
Brain Training: is a method to assist people to direct their effort in the manner they dictate. Learning to mine minded effort! Having the full attentive power of your brain focused on your goals. The goal here is to keep the brain alert and agile and (at times) out of the way so that the mind only provides what the body needs for the task at hand.
